Open call for submissions of net art and digital animation continues

In the net cafe of the Live Herring ´08 –exhibition there is going to
be screens for FLASH and other digital animation and for net art. For
that Live Herring is still looking for art works of net art and
digital animation even the official open call for submissions is
closed.

For animations (max. 5 min) submission closing date is 15th of
September. Send your work to us by snailmail on cd or dvd with
submission form. Download submission-form from here (PDF) .

For net art submission closing date is 15th of October. Send you
personal information, name of the work and URL to info@liveherring.org
with the title “web submission 2008″.

Live Herring ´08 näyttelyyn haetaan verkkotaidetta sekä
digitaalisesti tehtyjä animaatioita.

Live Herring ´08 -näyttelyyn tuotetaan FLASH –animaatioista ja muista
digitaalisesti tai tietokoneella tehdyistä animaatioista sekä
verkkotaideteoksista omat koosteensa näyttelyn yhteyteen ns.
nettitaidekahvilaan, joten vaikka virallinen teoshaku on päättynyt
otamme edelleen vastaan animaatioita ja verkkotaidetta edustavia
teosehdotuksia.

Animaatioiden (kesto max. 5 min.) viimeinen jättöpäivä on 15.9.08
Toimita teoksesi meille postitse cd:llä tai dvd:llä hakulomakkeen
kanssa. Lataa hakulomake tästä (PDF).

Verkkotaideteoksien viimeinen jättöpäivä on 15.10.08, toimitus
sähköpostilla. Lähetä henkilötietosi, teosnimi ja URL:in
info@liveherring.org -osoitteeseen otsikolla “web submission 2008″.

Live Herring ‘08 on pohjoismainen mediataidenäyttely. Se on esillä Jyväskylän taidemuseossa 29.10.-16.11.2008.

Live Herring ‘08 kutsuu kutsuu pohjoismaiset taiteilijat tarjoamaan näyttelyyn uusmediataideteoksia ja aiheeseen liittyviä työpaja-ehdotuksia.

“Can I submit my work if I’m not from Scandinavia but I study/live in Finland?”

We’ve made a decision that if you have lived over one year in Finland or
will live over one year period in Finland, you are eligible to send your
submission. Please mention this in your application.

There might also be other possibilities to take part to the Live Herring
event even for people who are staying in Finland for shorter period, so
please send your submission in any case and we’ll take your project in
consideration in case we’ll organize some extra program. The decisions
of the possible extra programs will be made in August/September.

Voitko osallistua Live Herring ´08 -näyttelyn teoshakuun, jos et ole kotoisin Skandinaaviasta, mutta asut Suomessa?

Päätimme, että teoshakuun voivat osallistua myös muiden kansalaisuuksien edustajat, jos he ovat asuneet Suomessa ainakin vuoden tai tulevat asumaan ainakin vuoden Suomessa. Pyydämme mainitsemaan asian hakemuksessa.

Muita Skandinaavian ulkopuolelta olevia kiinnostuneita pyydämme myös osallistumaan teoshakuun, koska voimme harkita näitä teoksia ja projekteja siinä yhteydessä, jos järjestämme näyttelyn yhteydessä muuta ohjelmaa. Päätökset mahdollisista ekstraohjelmista tehdään elo- tai syyskuussa.
